I’ve been teaching at the University of Michigan since 1992, currently in the Department of Comparative Literature and in the Residential College.

During that time, I’ve taught courses on a wide variety of topics and at every level of the curriculum from undergraduate first year seminars to advanced graduate seminars.

I was recently honored for my efforts with the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts’ Individual Award for Outstanding Contributions to Undergraduate Education.

You can check out the most recent versions of syllabi for courses I’m teaching, read my approach to teaching, or even see some for yourself by viewing lectures I’ve given in my Global Sports Cultures course.
