writing
Welcome.
This is where I gather my written work—essays, poems, stories, reflections, and fragments shaped over time.
Writing has long been part of my way of moving through the world. At different times it’s taken the form of poetry, short stories, scholarly essays, creative nonfiction, memoir, and exploratory fragments. In recent years, it’s become a way of listening inward and outward at once — a contemplative practice as much as a creative one.
Topics vary, but certain themes recur: literature and reading, visual arts, sport as culture and art, philosophy, religion, and spirituality, and the ongoing texture of lived experience.
I’ve written to explain and persuade, and at times to be recognized. Now I write to discover. To listen. To stay close to what feels real, to make space for what remains unresolved—and to share what I have discovered.I write because something feels missing when I don’t. Because I love the feel of my fingers moving on a keyboard or a pen scratching a surface—the feel of making words appear, on paper or on a screen.
In the menu above, you’ll find pieces grouped by form. Within each, themes weave and echo.
