This is where my work once lived most fully.
In syllabi and seminars.
In citation and critique.
In the long, intricate sentences of a particular world.

For nearly three decades, I taught and wrote as a scholar of literature, sport, and culture.
It was a life shaped by questions—about language, power, embodiment, resistance, wonder.
Writing was how I followed those questions into conversation with others, across disciplines and borders.

The work gathered here comes from that world.
It carries its rigor and density, its commitments and constraints.
It also hints at what was already beginning to press against the edges.

Though I’ve stepped away from the academy, I haven’t left it behind.
It lives here—folded into the broader weave.
