ghost-river navigator

A ghost-river navigator,

I scoured the gorge, and worked

through the axis of the world, sinking

      below the mossy stones,

      below the pits and snares

      and graves and tombs, where

      in words upturned

      and truths unbound

      I found the secret

      waterfall and drowned.
